Welcome to the AIDN National Website. AIDN was established in 1995. Through a series of incorporated associations national representation of SMEs in the Defence sector developed and eventually merged to create the Peak Federal Industry Association.
The Australian defence industry employed 61,600 people and contributed $10.6 billion to the Australian economy in the 2021-22 financial year, according to data released in Dec 2022 by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). In our current geopolitical environment this sector has a lot of potential to grow and deliver more to Australia, and to Defence Capability.
Networking is a core element of AIDN’s strategy and purpose and I encourage you to get involved with the network, seek out your opportunities to collaborate and work together with like minded business in Defence Industry. Our Defence Force requires our support as a Fundamental Input to Defence Capability and our efforts will only strengthen their ability to serve the nation.
