AIDN QLD is delighted announce we are now offering members the opportunity to enrol in a range of Defence Industry Micro-Credential courses powered by the Queensland Government’s Good People, Good Jobs: Queensland Workforce Strategy 2022-2023.
The Australian Industry and Defence Network (AIDN) Queensland Defence Industry Capability Edge (DICE) Micro-Credentialling Program is a strategic partnership between the Queensland Government, AIDN and AIDN member organisations to enhance Defence Industry business acumen and workforce skills. In order to align with the new Sovereign Defence Industrial Priorities, evolving National Strategy and emerging AUKUS opportunities.
In February 2024, the Federal Government released the Defence Industry Development Strategy (DIDS) to detail its industry development priorities to meet dynamic strategic needs in “the most challenging geopolitical circumstances” since the Second World War. The DIDs introduced 7 new Strategic Defence Industry Priorities (SDIPs) which represent the industrial capabilities Defence requires in Australia.
This program will use subject matter experts to decode and unpack these strategic documents and teach skills to identify business opportunities across the 5 Defence Domains. It will also impart digital skills to align business processes and systems to Defence needs and build business resilience nationally and internationally. Our goal is to help Australian Defence Industry remain capable, resilient, competitive and innovative into the future.
This program is driven by the Australian Defence Industry need to align to the National Defence Strategy 2024 (NDS) and deliver SDIPs aligned to the budgets and timeframes outlined in the Integrated Investment Plan (IIP). The first 4 micro-credential courses offered in this series are:
These courses are facilitated by some of Australia’s most experienced practitioners in these fields, based on successful business principles and Defence Industry best practice.
Enrolment is free for AIDN Members. All enrolments will be checked against AIDN Membership.
