Exercise Talisman Sabre is the largest Australia-US bilaterally planned, multilaterally conducted exercise and a key opportunity to work with likeminded partners from across the region and around the world.

The opening ceremony will take place onboard HMAS Canberra in Sydney. The Deputy Prime Minister, the Hon Richard Marles MP and United States Secretary of the Navy, the Honorable Carlos Del Toro will conduct a media conference.

LOCATION:               

Media to assemble at Main Pass Office of Garden Island Defence Precinct at the end of Cowper Wharf Rd, Woolloomooloo.

Media note

• Must register attendance by 5:00pm, Wednesday, 19 July to email contact below.  
• Bring photo identification to access the base, digital identification will NOT be accepted.
• Parking cannot be guaranteed and will likely be unavailable. Consideration for use of taxi/uber to get to the venue is highly recommended.
• Vans will be provided to transport media from the Main Pass Office to HMAS Canberra.
• Wear clothing and sturdy footwear suitable to walk up and down ship stairwells as required.
