Nova Systems has been selected as a Category 1 partner on the Australian Government’s Project LAND 156 Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) Standing Offer Panel.

Nova’s scope includes C-sUAS site assessments including analysis and advice on operating environments, threat assessments, solution design for technical proposals and preparation of risk and mitigation strategies.

As a Category 1 partner, Nova can be tasked to assess sites to understand the local environment and potential drone threats and will provide advice on suitable solutions and identify key risks and how they can be managed to respond to evolving counter-drone threats.

The Panel will support Defence and other Australian Government agencies in safeguarding critical infrastructure and operations within Australia.

The Panel has been established to advise Defence and other Australian Government agencies on CsUAS services, enhancing Australia’s ability to detect, deter and respond to emerging drone threats.

Nova Systems CEO Dean Rosenfield said Nova welcomes this opportunity to contribute to national security working across multiple Government agencies.

“Nova Systems is a leader in national safety and security focused on keeping our communities and critical infrastructure safe,” Mr Rosenfield said.

“Nova develops Australian-owned, nationally controlled and independently assured mission systems that can operate across Defence, emergency services and civilian domains.

“We are growing as an Australian mission systems integrator offering scale and deep expertise in complex Defence systems and mission assurance.”

“We are pleased to support the Australian Government’s strategy to address evolving threats posed by small drones.”

The Australian Government has set aside $1.3 billion for the acquisition of counter drone capabilities over the next 10 years, highlighting the strategic importance of this domain and Project LAND 156.
