Welcome to the Australian Industry & Defence Network

Welcome to the AIDN National Website! Established in 1995, AIDN has evolved through a series of incorporated associations, ultimately merging to become the Peak Federal Industry Association representing SMEs in the Defence sector.

The Australian defence industry is a vital contributor to the national economy, employing 61,600 people and generating $10.6 billion in the 2021-22 financial year (as per December 2022 data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics). In today’s geopolitical climate, this sector holds significant potential for further growth and contribution to Australia’s overall defence capability.

At AIDN, networking is the lifeblood of our strategy and purpose. We encourage you to actively engage with our network, seeking opportunities to collaborate and work alongside like-minded businesses within the Defence Industry. Our Defence Force relies on our support as a fundamental input to their capability. Your efforts, combined with ours, will only strengthen their ability to serve the nation.
