Nova Systems has been selected as a core industry partner by CAE to deliver the Future Air Mission Training System (F-AMTS) for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) under Project AIR5428 Phase 3.
This follows the RAAF selection of CAE and its partners on the transformative program to train its mission aircrew.

Nova Systems will support CAE through the provision of systems engineering on the program, with a key focus on the verification and validation of the Materiel System (Mission System and Support System) to be delivered to the Commonwealth.

“Our systems engineering capability that we have built over the past 25 years, will be centered on using Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). MBSE will provide CAE and the Commonwealth clarity of design and is a move from the traditional document centric systems engineering approach, to one that uses models and technology as the primary engineering output,” said Nova Systems CEO Dean Rosenfield.

The work to be undertaken by Nova Systems will leverage core capabilities in systems engineering and Test and Evaluation (T&E), including Verification and Validation (V&V) to support system design, system certification and acceptance, and assess operational effectiveness and suitability to ensure the Materiel System meets operational needs.

“CAE delivers high‑quality, future‑ready training solutions that combine innovation, technical excellence, and trusted partnerships to support the RAAF. Nova Systems are a respected Australian specialist in systems engineering and V&V and we look forward to delivering a world‑class, scalable, and cost‑effective training capability that strengthens Australia’s Defence readiness,” said France Hébert, Vice President and General Manager, CAE Defense & Security, Canada and International.

CAE’s partnership with leading Australian industry organisations includes Nova Systems, Adacel, DXC, Milskil, MMCLD, Airflite, and Seeing Machines.
