Aimpoint Pty Ltd and Techforce Personnel as part of PeopleIN, Australia’s largest ASX listed workforce solutions provider, have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding at the Avalon International Airshow to support innovative workforce solutions for critical industries.

The partnership assists Techforce Personnel to upskill and expand its talent pool for clients across multiple sectors including Defence, through cost-effective and cutting-edge training solutions.

This will support innovative and accelerated solutions to major workforce shortages across major industries, including Defence, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

The agreement will support:

  • Development of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality training solutions.
  • Collaboration on workforce solutions for the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance sector.
  • Establishment of training and employment pathways for Pacific and Southeast Asian nations.
  • Development of workforce solutions for the blast and paint industry.

Aimpoint Chief Executive Officer Jenna Robinson said the partnership is a game changer.

“This partnership will support Aimpoint to accelerate its strategy to develop Virtual Reality training solutions for key industries such as mining and defence,” she said.

“We are excited to draw on Techforce Personnel’s significant experience in providing workforce solutions for industry and work together to develop innovative training products and services.”

Techforce Personnel Chief Executive Officer Justin McNicol said its Defence offering is strong.

“We support the defence sector through our deep understanding of specialised skill sets,” he said.

“Grounded in our sovereign Australian roots and our veteran-led leadership, we source candidates with the technical skills and adaptability needed to thrive.”

“Connecting clients with elite talent from a pool of over one million candidates – our partnership with Aimpoint will ensure that these workers are upskilled and ready for emerging opportunities.”

Tom Reardon, founder of PeopleIN, believes training opportunities will extend into the Pacific.

“PeopleIN is already the largest provider to the PALM Scheme, and this partnership will support not only opportunities for Australians but to upskill Pacific Islanders for our defence forces.”
