Australian defence innovator Aurizn has partnered with U.S. technology leader ISL to accelerate how allied forces train, test and prepare for missions across the electromagnetic spectrum.
Aurizn and ISL will combine their strengths to develop advanced modelling tools that help allied nations to map, rehearse and validate missions across air, land, sea and space. These tools will make it easier for allied forces to work together and prepare for complex operations. By integrating their technologies, the partnership aims to accelerate capability development and improve readiness for Australia and its partners.
Aurizn brings expertise in creating synthetic environments and advanced electro-optic and infrared technologies, while ISL adds its proven real-time radio frequency software, including its high-fidelity RFView® products. These combined capabilities will allow Defence to model and test electromagnetic spectrum missions with a new level of precision.
A key part of this work will use Infinite Studio, Australia’s only radiometrically credible multispectral simulation platform. Working with commercialisation partner, the Defence Science and Technology Group, Aurizn will utilise Infinite Studio to provide a realistic digital environment for technology development and testing. ISL’s RFView® technology will extend this capability, enabling Defence to assess both crewed and uncrewed systems in joint and domain-agnostic scenarios.
Chief Executive Officer of Aurizn Rebecca Humble said the partnership addresses modern defence challenges.
“Modern warfare demands integration across spectrums and domains. By bringing together best-of-breed tools and technologies across U.S. and Australian industry, we can emulate and digitise the complexity of the battlefield, accelerating capability development and strengthening sovereign and allied readiness,” Ms Humble said.
Highlighting that realistic simulation is essential for readiness, Chief Executive Officer of ISL Gail Taylor-Smith, said the alliance will bring significant value to Defence and allied forces.
“Our RFView® suite of technologies complements Aurizn’s synthetic environments to create a fully integrated solution that strengthens collective readiness across borders and domains,” she said. “Together, we are enabling Defence to model, test and validate complex scenarios with unprecedented precision—a critical step in preparing for the missions of tomorrow.”
The partnership also supports AUKUS objectives, improving technology interoperability between U.S. and Australian defence industries, with both companies committing to continue working together on new opportunities that deliver a mission advantage to allied forces.
