Company Overview Dobbie is a metal foundry & engineering company, offering the following facilities and manufacturing capability: ● A 3D engineering design facility incorporating Inventor design, finite element analysis, 3D printing and rapid prototyping capabilities. ● A foundry pattern making and storage facility, securely located on-site. ● A combined ferrous and non-ferrous foundry, with a current casting capacity of 105 tonnes per month and a maximum single FE casting capacity of 4 tonnes. ● An engineering machining workshop, incorporating conventional equipment (Horizontal & Vertical Borers, Lathes, Presses, Drills, and Mills), together with CNC Machining Centre and CNC Lathe. ● A NATA certified mechanical testing laboratory, including advanced dynamic flow testing equipment. Company Products Applicable to Defence ● Cast and machined components to client specification, which can be offered in a variety of defence grade alloys. E.g. machine parts, deck fittings, etc. ● A variety of valve types, specialising in Gate and Swing Check (Non-return), with application to both Defence infrastructure and operational defence platforms (currently available to 1400mm diameter). ● Marine pump componentry with direct application to maritime defence platforms. ● Electrostatic earthing points for maritime defence platforms.
