MEMKO is pleased to announce the launch of its second Non-Intrusive Flight Test Instrumentation (NIFTI) product, following the September 2024 release of the Accelerometer Sensor Node. The NIFTI Strain Gauge Sensor Node captures high-resolution three-channel measurement data from external sensors at a sampling rate up to 2000 Hz.
The Strain Gauge Sensor Node forms part of a network of NIFTI nodes that are mounted externally to an aircraft to collect flight valuable test data. This eliminates the need to externally wire sensors to a dedicated aircraft for flight testing; and makes NIFTI ideally suited for use on in-service aircraft.
MEMKO’s Director of Systems Engineering and NIFTI’s lead developer Sam Mancarella said he was excited to build on the NIFTI product with this versatile node. “The Strain Gauge Node adds a new degree of flexibility to our flight test instrumentation system by connecting external sensors to NIFTI which pinpoint measurements in precise locations of interest,” Sam Mancarella said.
