During this 6-week micro-credential, learners will gain the specialist knowledge to:

• Assess a C4ISREW system, extract key characteristics, and analyse its performance, with a focus on the influence of electronic warfare.
• Employ research to evaluate the performance of C4ISREW systems, taking into account technological evolution, integration challenges, and the role of electronic warfare.
• Understand how technological advancements and the integration of new systems complicate performance.
• Identify how appropriate engineering design approaches can enhance system improvement and enable co-existence in environments affected by signal interference and electronic warfare.
• Investigate the impact of signal interference, including electronic warfare, on the performance of C4ISREW systems.
• Propose engineering design solutions to enable system co-existence in combat environments.

Who should apply?

These courses are suitable for:

• Existing Defence and defence industry professionals who want verification of their combat systems engineering skill set or want to upskill in combat systems engineering
• Engineers and suitably qualified and experienced technicians who would like to transition into a career in defence industry.

Qualified engineers, highly experienced technicians or industry professionals with the relevant background are encouraged to apply, including but not limited to:

• Graduate engineers
• Engineers and experienced technicians (2-5 years’ experience)
• Senior engineers (5-10 years’ experience, line management).

Applicants must be eligible to work in Australia and obtain an Australian Government Security clearance.

^ This course is inclusive of an in-person learning component which will span across three business days. The face-to-face delivery will be held during week 3 of the micro-credential at the University of Adelaide North Terrace campus. Any travel expenses related to in-person components of this course will be at the learner’s own expense.
