Nova Systems has welcomed 13 new graduates to the global engineering services and technology solutions company, as it was named in Graduate Australia’s Top 100 Employers.
Designed to nurture and develop the next generation, Nova Systems’ two-year graduate program provides opportunities to gain exposure to a vast range of projects across Defence, geospatial and essential services.
Nova Systems Chief People Officer, Shelley Willsmore, said engaging bright young minds was vital to develop the workforce needed to fulfil the future needs of Australia’s defence industry.
“Fostering young talent is vital to ensure Australia has the highly skilled workforce needed to keep our nation safe and secure,” Ms Willsmore said.
“Defence industry provides a wealth of opportunities for young people to develop careers in meaningful work and the demand for talent is as high as it’s ever been.
“We hear from our graduates that our people-oriented culture makes Nova Systems attractive.
“They love the flexibility and being able to work on a diverse range of complex projects supported by experienced and passionate consultants.”
This year’s graduates include an almost 50-50 gender split, made up primarily of engineers. They are located at sites across Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Newcastle.
Nova Systems has also just been ranked #2 in a list of Australia’s top defence and aerospace graduate employers. The Australian-owned company was named #60
overall.
