Upcoming Defence Industry Hub Opportunities

Do you want to be a part of the future Base Services Team?

Defence is currently exploring a range of service delivery models and commercial contracting arrangements to define the next generation of Base Services arrangements through the Base Services Transformation (BST) Program. Through this tender, Defence will seek to modernise facilities and services available on base bringing them in line with facilities and services available in the wider community. The Base Services contracts represent an investment in the Australian economy of around $1.8 billion annually and deliver a range of estate sustainment services to Defence sites nationally to enable the effective operation of Defence working, living, operational and training environments. The Defence Industry Hubs invite you to meet with representatives from the procurement teams of some of the major contractors (Downer Defence, Serco & Ventia) tendering to be part of the Base Services Transformation Program. The requirements for base services are vast and include:

• Access Control (Security Services)
• Accommodation Management
• Airfield Management
• Base Services Support Centre
• Cleaning Services • Facilities Management
• Predictive & reactive maintenance (traditional trades)
• Food Services
• Land Management
(includes Grounds Maintenance) • Laundry and Dry Cleaning
• Pest and Vermin Management
• Sport and Recreation Services
• Training Areas & Ranges Management
• Transport Services

You are also invited to register for 10 minute B2B meetings with the major contractors in a ‘speed dating’ style format. This will allow you some one-on-one time to:
– promote your existing and growing capability
– clarify procurement processes
– provide a copy of your capability statement/ quad chart

Townsville: Tuesday 28th March (7:30am start)
Caloundra: Thursday 30th March (8:30am start)
Logan: Friday 31st March (7:30am start)

Cyber in-conversation Breakfast (DISP Requirements/ Essential Eight Model)

To assist you to better understand the cyber requirements and responsibilities expected of Defence Industry SME’s, we are also running a Cyber in-conversation breakfast on Tuesday 4th April which will cover topics that will be of interest to you if you’re looking to be part of the BST Tender. This will be an ‘ask the expert’ style Q&A and panel discussion event with conversations including:

– Explaining the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) & what it means
– Delivering effective mitigation strategies to uplift your cyber security
